问:管老师，你是从几岁开始学习画画的，有没有觉得画画很辛苦？
答:我从小就喜欢画画，因为喜欢，所以觉得画画就是童年的一种玩耍，只有乐趣没有辛苦。
问:我画的画颜色都很不好看，我怎么能画出很漂亮的颜色呢？
答:色彩是天生的，所以每个人都有颜色偏好。建议你多观察，多用自然界的色彩。比如苹果的颜色就不仅有红色、还有绿色、紫色、黄色等。
问：画画需要灵感吗？管老师你画画的灵感来自哪里？
答:灵感来自努力，正所谓：厚积薄发。通过千百次的反复练习，灵感就会自然而然来敲门了。我的灵感也来自于多想、多思、多画。
问:写书法对学画画有帮助吗？
答:中国画历来有：书画同源之说。因此，书法是画画的基础和基本功。写好书法对画画来说是事半功倍。
问:请问油画跟其他的绘画有什么不同？
答:油画是西画类的，它和中国画在表现手法上有本质的区别。西画讲究用光影表现体积，用油调合色彩画在布上；中国画用物体的结构来表现对象，用墨和水彩色画在宣纸上。
问:我应该让孩子学传统的绘画技巧，还是学当代的新派绘画？

答:绘画有个基础问题，所以学习绘画必须打好基础。今后才能熟练的表现你的构思和想法。当然，当代绘画可以开拓你的思维，我们不应厚此薄彼。
问:我们画画的时候应该有怎样的过程，先画什么后画什么？
答:我们对着画纸，不要急于落笔。先在脑中形成一个想法，这就是所谓的构思。动笔之后，应从大面积开始画起，也就是尽快地把一张白纸铺满。这就是整体观念，在铺满颜色的纸上，一步步收拾，就容易多了。
问:请问管老师您的画最大的特色和风格是什么？
答:我在题材上用中国的国粹——戏曲人物，技巧上用中国画的技法创作油画，从而形成了中国式油画。
问:怎样看待毕加索的画？
答:毕加索开创了一个新的绘画时代，创立了一个全新的审美观念。让人们从新的角度去体验艺术，认识世界。
Q: When did you start to study drawing?Have you ever thought it hard to draw?
A: Drawing is more like a kind of entertainment to me since I like drawing when I was a little child. So what I feel is just the pleasure of drawing.
Q: How can I draw a beautiful painting if it is difficult for me to find the right color?
A: Everyone has his own natural preference for colors. You can do more observations and use more colors in the natural world. For example the color of apples could be red or green and also could be purple or yellow.
Q: Do you think that inspiration plays a role in drawing? And where does your inspiration come from?
A: Ninety percent of the inspiration is perspiration. The inspiration could only be gained after thousands of repeated practices. I think the best way is to think more and practice more.
Q: Could it be a help that you learn to write calligraphy before you learn to draw?
A: Chinese paintings are known as “painting identity”, therefore, calligraphy is always considered as a basic skill to drawing. So it will be a great help to learn to draw if you do a great job in calligraphy.
Q: Is there any difference between oil paintings and other kinds of paintings?
A: Oil painting is a kind of western painting which has a great difference from Chinese paintings in the ways of expression. Western paintings pay a lot attention on light and shadow and mix the colors with oil to draw on the canvas while Chinese paintings express the object with its structure and draw on the rice paper with ink and water colors.
Q: What should we have our children to learn about, the traditional drawing skills or the contemporary paintings? (From parents)
A: It is very important to master the basic skills in drawing. Only after laying a good foundation, you can express your ideas and thoughts proficiently in the future. And at the meantime, it will be a help to know about the contemporary painting since it may broaden your mind.
Q: Is there any drawing order to follow?
A: It’s necessary to form an idea in your mind before you start to draw. First give a whole concept by drawing from the large part of the picture and then describe the details.
Q: What are the feature and style in your paintings?
A: Chinese traditional opera characters are the main theme in my paintings. I use the Chinese drawing skills to composing oil paintings thus forming a Chinese-style oil painting.
Q: How to appreciate Picasso’s paintings?
A: Picasso, who created a new period for drawing and developed a new aesthetic standard, has given us a new perspective to experience and know the arts and the whole world.
